We have a filer that comes into the office to update the SEC code books. She is sitting in the conferance room across from my office door, and she's been on her cell phone for the past 3 hours, since 9am this morning.

 

Not that I like to stereotype people, but I get a kick out of stereotypes living up to their stereotypes. B and I were once driving up Wisconsin Avenue when we spotted two Hispanic guys riding a moped. The guy driving the moped dropped the other one off at the bus where there was a pick up truck with more Hispanic guys in the truck bed waiting for him. I almost clapped my hands in appreciation of the scene. How can you miss two fat guys riding up a steep hill on a moped?

 

Snippets from her cell phone conversation, and that's if she not listening to her ipod instead:

"She's like a Lane Bryant big. 14 plus. And I'm not saying thick. She's like big and rotund. And not really my heiiight, Cause I'm like a small, medium height, but you know, It's not anything not ordinnaray, but not my height."

Meanwhile DT walks into the conferance room, an attorney from North Dakota, as white bread as it gets, calmly enacts the no see, no hear policy and checks out a book on mortgage lending.

 

"If we are having a serious discussion, I'm sorry to be joking, Hello? Hello? I have no right to be dissing the seriousness of your points. Hello? Hello?"

Pan's Labyrinth

After watching numerous Oscar awards go to Guerillmo Del Torro's Pan's Lybyrinth last weekend, I thought it be fun to see.

 

Awesome. Awesome Awesome movie. It hits on two very compelling topics, Love and War. Taking place in Post War repression of Franco's Spain, a little girl, Ofelia enters a world of fairy tale. Her world is contrasted against the dark realities of brutal violence and war. It's a tear jerker, but it's a good thing I don't cry.

 

I was either going to see this or Reno 911 Miami.., I'm glad I saw this.
