What am I up to
I'm listending to Kanye's new CD. It's amazing. I really like "Touch The Sky." Track 3. I can relate to his lyrics, and his beats are tight.
I'm reading Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackery. It's awesome. I am fond of British writers, but if you want to learn how to tell a story, Billy boy here is the man to learn from. It is a bit sentimental, but he throws in these bits of sarcasm that give him some cred. I like it. Originally I bought it just to pass time at an airport. $6 for 800 pages. That's pretty good deal.
I just watched Born into Brothels. It's about this group of kids born into the red light district of Calcutta. They had a viewing at one of the Smithsonians a while back that I missed, but I'm so glad I watched this movie. It's absolutely amazing. It's devestatingly sad, but it's the optimism of the kids that keep the story line going. They live in a harsh society and are introduced to its harsh reality so early in life. This British woman becomes attached to the kids and teach them photography inorder to see the children's world through their eyes.
Work is getting busy busy, So I'll be pulling major OT. Oh, social life..how I miss thee.
